LAMB OF GOD Schedules Live Web Stream Of Philadelphia Show

May 7, 2009

Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD have announced a live streaming of their May 9, 2009 show at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This will mark the first time the band has offered a live stream of an entire show to the public. The festivities begin at 9:30 p.m. EST on the band's official web site.

LAMB OF GOD will be utilizing technology provided by Kyte for this special event. Fans will be able to choose from several different camera angles around the stage as they watch the live stream of the band’s performance.

"Since we can't seem to play every town and can't possibly fly you all to ours, we came up with a way to play your house," says drummer Chris Adler. "Mosh with Mom! One time only metal stimulus package! This tour has been amazing and we hope you enjoy the show!"

Chris Adler used Kyte during the recording process of their new album and has continued uploading video blogs and streaming live content since the release of their fifth studio album "Wrath". The band has also been offering live web casts to its fan club.

This exclusive look at a live show is the latest innovative promotion from LAMB OF GOD. Recently the rockers launched an "Escape the Plague" contest where fans who purchase one of the first 100,000 copies of the new CD can win a BBQ with vocalist Randy Blythe, special LAMB OF GOD equipment, or another one of 100 available prizes.

LAMB OF GOD's new album, "Wrath", has sold 142,000 copies in the United States since its February 24 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Wrath" was produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire.

The "Wrath" album was released in four configurations: an LP, a CD, a deluxe-edition CD with bonus disc — which contains isolated recording parts — as well as a super-deluxe version featuring a limited-edition box containing an LP, deluxe-edition CD and USB drive containing two exclusive bonus tracks.
